Water Pills All

my urologist prescribed me some water pills to help with preventing kidney stones (i get them all the time)...
has anyone ever heard of or had a dr prescribe water pills for kidney stones? it seems like a weird thing to be prescribed for kidney stones... i'm sure he probably knows what hes talking about since he's a urologist... but i just though i'd see if its a common, known thing that it's supposed to help prevent stones....?
urologist are bad.
I used to get kidney stones all the time.
I went to many urologists. they were all idiots.
They would say - avoid milk.
You need to go to a nephrologist.
A nephrologist is a physician who has been educated and trained in kidney diseases, kidney transplantation, and dialysis therapy.

I was lucky. The leading kidney stone expert in the world is at a college hostipal near me.
He gave me a simple diuretic pill. and told me the urologists that said to avoid milk were idiots.
I have not had a kidney stone in 10 years.
edit -
about the answer below.
You need to find out what kind of kidney stones your getting.
I have salt stones. I do not flush out salt.
So you need to go to more of an expert. to give you the correct advice.
