building muscle on this diet?
Can anybody tell me if my diet will help me build muscle im pretty toned i just want to bulk up a bit on arms chest and shoulders i dont want to be massive just a nice medium build im currently lifting 3 days a week 1 1/2 hour sessions.Ive stopped cardio as i dont want to lose anymore weight.
THIS IS MY DIET
.Pre workout=bowl of oatmeal wit skim milk,1 bananna,multivitamin,cod liver oil capsule.
.Post work out=100% whey protien shake with skim milk,2 poached eggs with tuna salad,slice of wholegrain brown bread
.Dinner=2 cups of broccolli,tin of peas.1cup of cauliflower,salmon steak
I eat no junk,no sodas
Drink about 4 litres of water per day
and i eat a variety of fruit between main meals pear,grapes,apple etc
on the dinner i change the meat each day like i swap salmon for chicken,white fish etc and i mix up the veggies each day
Nutritionally its very sound but without knowing your BMR its hard to say if it is enough calories. It looks far too low to me for a guy that already has some muscle to try and build mass.
I would add in lean meats, eggs, more milk, natural peanut butter and a fish oil supplement to get those calories up.
