If we can conserve muscle through plenty of strength training then why do we need to eat more to speed metabo?
Surely then it doesnt really matter how less we eat cause our metabolisms are already raised through lots of muscle building and exercise?
The only thing that conserves muscle are:
1. The demand for the strength. If you don't use the muscles, the body lets them waste away.
2. Calories and protein content. Your muscles need to be fed to stay their size.
So looking at number 2 if you exercise without eating enough your body will begin melting your muscles to get at the glycogen for energy. In short your muscle will disappear and your metabolism will slow dramatically.
Your thoughts are not correct. Sorry.
