I would like to ask if there is a way to store electricity during off-peak periods for specific companies ?
In most progressive countries., The National Grid operates Peaking Plants like Gas Turbines, and Pumped Hydro facilitites which operate only at 4 hours per day at the most.
In Pumped hyrdo facilities, there is a loss of 20 percent., just like when you charge your batteries.
Given the above losses scenario, when an establishment has a load factor of only 20 % and increases it to 83 % using the above principle, there is little incentive to make the project.
I there any product in the market that would be able to support this initiative ?
This would help the Milling Industry who are in all probabilitites having this very low, Load Factor.
Power factor correction capacitor stores only a small amount of electricity, and its component is only the reactive, not the real power. Reactive power is in KVA while real power is in KW.
I am using my demo kit for my Vitamin-C to augument power to run my electric fan., this is also helping me demonstrate how power factor improves.
There are several ways to store large amounts of energy. A lot of big buildings use a pool of water located on the roof for air conditioning. The water is cooled by refridgeration during off-peak hours and the cold water is used for cooling during peak hours. Water can be pumped to a higher location for hydro power during peak hours. Also, huge 'flywheels' which are buried for safety reasons can be spun during off-peak hours.
