gelatin capsules vs veggies capsules?
Some capsules when you buy them from the store melt very quickly. Should I buy the geletain or veggie to reduce this factor?
Actually, both will dissolve in your stomach very quickly (within a minute or two in most cases). The difference between them is very minimal in the long run, so the main difference is the fact that Gelatin is from an animal source (typically from cow or pig cartilage) while veggie caps are obviously from a vegetarian source (so they are safe for vegans and often people wanting to eat Kosher as well).
In regards to what some of the other answerers said, you should NOT store capsules or softgels in the fridge/freezer unless the bottle specifically says to. The reason is that every time you take it out of the fridge, warm air gets into the bottle, then when you put it back in the fridge, that warm air gets cold and the humidity in it condenses. After a few times of doing this (depending on the humidity), there could be enough moisture to start dissolving the gelatin (slowly).
I have heard of people that stored a bottle of softgels in the fridge and they couldn't figure out why the last few softgels started leaking and left an oily mess in the bottom of the bottle.
If you live in a hot apartment, you could try putting your pills in a cooler with a cold can of pop to keep it cool, but not cold (which is what most manufacturers recommend). Good luck!
