What does Estrogen Blockers do?
A lot of Men deal with estrogen build up, so I was wondering exactly what Estrogen Blockers do. I mainly have small manboobs that dont seem to want to leave. I work out and bench, do pushups, stay on a diet, but they wont go away. Any advice?
There are two main methods of eostrogen control.
First - and what you most likely describe as a blocker - are drugs such as Nolvadex (Tamoxifen). This works by flooding the eostrogen receptors in the body before real eostrogen can bind to them.
Second Letrozole (Famara) which stops the aromatisation of testosterone (When an extra oxygen atom binds to testosterone in becomes eostrogen).
It may be that you need one of these drugs to reduce your breast tissue, it also may be simply that you are still carrying a bit too much fat. Only way of finding out for sure is a blood test from your GP.
